Viadana 18-12 Fiamme Oro
Viadana 18 - 12 Fiamme Oro

Match Report
A crisp autumn afternoon at the Stadio Zaffanella provided the perfect stage for a brutal tactical battle as Viadana edged out Fiamme Oro in a contest defined by defensive grit rather than attacking flair. From the opening whistle, the home side demonstrated a clear intent to dominate the contact area, forcing the visitors into a series of errors deep in their own territory. Fiamme Oro struggled to find their rhythm against a suffocating Viadana press, and the tension remained palpable throughout a scoreless opening quarter as both packs traded heavy blows in the trenches.
The breakthrough finally arrived through the boot and the muscle of the Viadana forwards, who orchestrated a sustained period of pressure that eventually broke the deadlock. Despite the visitors mounting a spirited comeback in the second half through their formidable maul, Viadana’s defensive wall refused to crumble when it mattered most. Standout performances from the back row ensured that every Fiamme Oro surge was met with immediate resistance, effectively stalling the Roman side's momentum just as they began to threaten the try line in the closing minutes.
This result serves as a massive boost for Viadana, cementing their status as a genuine playoff contender as they climb the Top10 standings with this hard-fought victory. For Fiamme Oro, the afternoon was one of frustration as they leave Lombardy empty-handed despite their best efforts to claw back a deficit. As the final whistle echoed across the pitch, it was clear that Viadana’s composure under immense pressure was the decisive factor, leaving them perfectly positioned to build on this success as the intensity of the domestic season continues to ramp up.
