Agen 49-30 US Dax
Agen 49 - 30 US Dax
Pro D2 · 6 · Friday, 9 October 2026
Match Report
Armandie Stadium erupted in a frenzy of noise this Friday evening as Agen put on an attacking masterclass to dismantle US Dax. From the opening whistle, the home side looked determined to reclaim their dominance in the Pro D2, slicing through the visitors’ defensive line with clinical precision. While Dax fought valiantly and managed to keep pace during a high-octane opening quarter, they were simply unable to contain the relentless wave of momentum generated by the Agen pack. By the time the halftime whistle blew, the hosts had established a commanding foothold that signaled a long night ahead for the traveling side.
The second half turned into a spectacular showcase of expansive rugby, with both teams trading blows in an end-to-end contest that kept the spectators on the edge of their seats. Standout performances were scattered across the pitch, but it was the Agen backline, led by their electric fly-half, that consistently found gaps in the tiring Dax defense. Although the visitors clawed back points through grit and well-executed set pieces, their defensive lapses proved too costly to bridge the growing divide. Every time Dax threatened to spark a comeback, Agen responded with another converted try, demonstrating the kind of composure and hunger that had been missing from their earlier performances this season.
This emphatic victory provides a massive boost to Agen, propelling them up the league table and restoring a vital sense of belief within their ranks. For US Dax, the result serves as a sobering reminder of the ruthlessness required at this level, though they will surely look to take positives from their ability to find the try line under pressure. As both teams look ahead to their next challenges, this match will be remembered as a night where the home side finally clicked into gear, sending a clear warning to the rest of the Pro D2 that they are a force to be reckoned with.
